Areas We Serve in Saskatoon

Loans Saskatoon serves every neighbourhood on both banks of the river and the two bedroom cities up Highway 11 and Highway 12, with the same online application, the same $14 per $100 payday cap and the same Saskatchewan rules in each. The pages below say what changes by area: which streets have a counter and who gets paid when.

East side and the university

The east side runs from the Broadway Bridge out past the university, and only Sutherland and the University Heights plazas have a counter. Nutana has Broadway Avenue's banks and cafes but no payday storefront, and hospitality tips beside campus and hospital pay. Sutherland keeps one counter on Central Avenue near 108th, with student housing on the semi-monthly campus cycle.

University Heights and Forest Grove have the Attridge and Central plazas with a lender or two, and owner households of university and health care staff. Erindale and Arbor Creek have a grocery and a bank at Attridge and Kerr and no counter. Willowgrove and Evergreen are the newest streets east of McOrmond, banks but no lender, a mortgage on every townhouse.

West side along 20th, 22nd and 33rd

The west side is where Saskatoon's counters cluster, along 20th, 22nd and 33rd Street West, so the neighbourhoods differ in pay cycle more than in distance to a lender. Riversdale has the 20th Street counters and cheque cashers a walk from most homes, with weekly hospitality and labour pay. Pleasant Hill sits between the 20th and 22nd strips, with St. Paul's Hospital support shifts.

Westmount and Mount Royal have the 22nd Street counters on their south edge and many renters in trades and warehouse work. Confederation has counters in the mall and the 22nd Street plazas beside the bus terminal, and two earner families. Fairhaven and Parkridge have a lender or two on Fairlight Drive and paycheques from the Circle Drive West industrial area.

Kensington and Blairmore have a counter in the Blairmore big box plazas and young families with new mortgages. Hampton Village, north of 33rd, has a grocery and a bank on McClocklin Road and no counter. Caswell Hill and Mayfair keep a lender or two on 33rd near Idylwyld, with rail, trades and City Hospital pay.

Downtown and the north end

Downtown and the north end have counters at the Idylwyld edge of the core and in Lawson Heights, and nothing on the river bend beyond. Downtown Saskatoon has storefronts toward Idylwyld and on 2nd Avenue, semi-monthly office and government pay, and the 23rd Street bus terminal.

Lawson Heights has counters in Lawson Heights Mall and the Warman Road plazas, with retail, health care and office pay along Primrose Drive. Silverwood Heights and River Heights have no commercial strip at all, so professional households apply online and drive to the mall only for cash.

Southeast and the south side

The southeast has the east side's only real counter strip, on 8th Street East, and two newer subdivisions that drive to it. Lakeview and Lakeridge sit on that strip between Circle Drive and McKercher, with buses on 8th and Taylor. Stonebridge, off Highway 11, has one storefront lender in the Preston Avenue plazas and many newcomer families. Rosewood and Briarwood, east of Boychuk, have a grocery plaza and no counter.

Martensville and Warman

Martensville and Warman are bedroom cities with no payday storefront and no transit link, so their commuters apply online under the same provincial licence. Martensville, ten minutes up Highway 12, has banks on Centennial Drive and sends nearly everyone to Saskatoon for trades, health care, potash and office work. Warman, fifteen minutes up Highway 11, has banks on Central Street and Klassen Street and potash mine workers on rotation.

The same application, cap and rules in every area

Every area above uses the same five minute online application, pays the same $14 per $100 on a payday loan of $100 to $1500, and is protected by the same Saskatchewan rules, because The Payday Loans Act and the FCAA licence apply by province, not by neighbourhood. Next business day cancellation, the rollover ban and the 50% of net pay limit travel with the licence to Warman as surely as to 22nd Street.

What changes by area is the route and the pay cycle. The payday loans Saskatoon page works the fee for each cycle, the online loans Saskatoon page covers the e-transfer route end to end, and the installment loans Saskatoon page takes over above $1500. The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada lists the alternatives that cost less than either.

Loans Saskatoon is a free loan connection service, not a lender. The main Saskatoon loans page holds the chooser table.

Areas We Serve FAQ

Do I need to live in Saskatoon proper to apply?

No. A lender licensed by the FCAA serves every Saskatchewan address, so Martensville, Warman and Corman Park acreages qualify on the same terms. The application asks for a Saskatchewan address and a Canadian chequing account.

Is the fee lower in a neighbourhood with several counters?

No. The $14 per $100 cap is set by the province, so a strip of lenders on 22nd Street West and a single counter in Stonebridge charge the same, and so does every online lender. Competition shows up in service and hours, not in price.

Which areas have no storefront at all?

Nutana, Erindale and Arbor Creek, Willowgrove and Evergreen, Hampton Village, Silverwood Heights and River Heights, Rosewood and Briarwood, Martensville and Warman. Residents there apply online and receive an e-transfer, which costs the same as a counter.

Does the e-transfer take longer in an outlying area?

No. An e-transfer is sent to an account, not to a street, so it lands in Warman as fast as downtown. Timing depends on the lender's cutoff and on whether autodeposit is on, not on the postal code.

Our loan options in Saskatoon

One page per product, each with its own cost table and who qualifies.

How Loans Saskatoon makes money: loanssaskatoon.ca is a free loan connection service, not a lender. When you apply, we match your application with licensed Canadian lenders and earn a referral fee from the lender if your loan funds. This never changes your rate or costs you anything. We do not make credit decisions and never charge borrowers. Cost examples: a $300 payday loan for 14 days at $14 per $100 costs $42 in fees ($342 total, about 365% APR); payday fees are capped at $14 per $100 in every province except Quebec, to a $1500 maximum. Personal installment loans range 18% to 35% APR over 3 to 60 months. All lending is subject to lender approval and provincial rules.
